Screening of a Yoh Kawano movie "Airi"

On March 17 at 16:30, a screening of the film Airi will take place in classroom C11, followed by a discussion with the director, Yoh Kawano.

This short film (30–40 minutes) presents the personal testimony of a Japanese student whose life was affected by the Fukushima disaster, which occurred exactly 15 years ago.

Dr. Yoh Kawano works at the Faculty of Engineering at Reitaku University and focuses, among other topics, on urban planning, disaster preparedness and relief, volunteerism, and social justice.

Everyone interested is welcome to attend, and intergenerational perspectives are especially encouraged. The film will be screened in Japanese with English subtitles, and the subsequent discussion will be held in English.
