Iaponica Brunensia 2019

The Japanese studies Department will hold an international Japanese studies conference titled Iaponica Brunensia 2019 on the 20th and 21st of September.

It is our third Iaponica Brunensia conference and this year we will again host papers by academics not only from various European countries but also from Japan.

The range of topics will be broad from politics and international relations or linguistics to popular culture or classical literature.

This year's keynote speech will be delivered by professor Arthur Stockwin from Oxford university, whose paper is titled: "Japan, Japanese Politics, and the World".

The conference will be held in English and will be freely accessible for anyone interested.
