Our students are very busy studying (at least they say so), but they also have some oportunities to spend time more casually from time to time. Besides from the annual End of Year bonenkai parties where students enjoy a talk with their older and younger colleagues as well as the Japan Studies Seminar staff in a relaxed atmosphere, they also have the chance to make Japanese friends in Brno too. In the last two years, for example, we organized meetings of our students with students of the well-known Japanese Doshisha university, where they mutually introduced their countries of origin over a presentation at first and over a beer later.
In recent time, a students' club named Konekuto has been formed, that organizes a variety of events ranging from conversation meetings with Japanese students in Brno (whose number is rising quickly in recent years) to exhibitions of photos from Japan.
